Two ways to come if cost is the barrier: volunteer for a discount, or apply for a scholarship. If you live in Sonoma County, there are extra local-only routes in too.
Volunteering
Volunteer in exchange for a ticket discount — up to 100% off for the most-needed roles.

What we’re looking for
- Logistics & operations — check-in, signage, room turnover, transport coordination
- Programming support — session hosts, AV runners, residency producers
- Media & content — photography, video, writing, social
- Community Care team — newcomer greeting, families/kids support, well-being check-ins (see Community Care & Culture)
- Local fixers — Healdsburg/Sonoma residents who know people and places
Volunteers commit to ~10 hours/week of contribution during their time at the village. Most volunteers say it’s the fastest way to feel embedded.
Scholarships
We offer a limited number of scholarships for those who need financial assistance. Scholarship recipients also commit to ~10 hours/week of volunteer effort during the event.
To apply: select the scholarship option in your application and submit a 60-second video explaining why you’re applying and what your contribution might be.
Sonoma County locals — three ways in
Three routes for Sonoma County residents:
10% off the standard ticket price — for any local resident
Free ticket if you host an attendee — sign up as a host, get a full pass
Wednesdays are free for locals — drop into programming, no ticket needed
Plus 50% off scholarships for locals who are under 21, have limited financial resources, or would otherwise find the local rate a barrier. Select the scholarship option in your application.
